A Dual Fuel system combines an energy-efficient air-source heat pump with a new or existing oil or propane furnace.

How a Dual Fuel system works
In the spring and fall, the heat pump extracts heat from the outside air and pumps it into the house,

furnace is used because the heat pump simply does not provide the same comfort.
Then in the summer, the heat pump reverses its cycle and acts as a central air conditioner,

the heat pump acts as an air conditioner and both cools and dehumidifies your entire house.
